Colin Anawaty is an entrepreneur, angel investor, and lifelong technologist who has pursued startups in advertising, entertainment, finance, and healthcare industries across the coastlines.
Colin is the former co-founder and chief product officer at First Dollar, a technology company that builds healthcare benefits infrastructure before its acquisition by Inspira Financial in 2024.
Before First Dollar, Colin co-founded and led the product efforts of the care coordination platform Patient IO from inception to acquisition by athenahealth in 2016. At athenahealth, Colin served as executive director for 3 years overseeing value-based care initiatives until its private-equity merger with GE Healthcare.
In his community, Colin gives back as a startup advisor and mentor, a policy advocate on the Hill for important issues like patent reform, healthcare interoperability, & health care affordability, and has given guest lecturers at the University of Texas on entrepreneurship. He is a proud donor to the Friends of ACL, the longest running live music broadcast in the world presented on PBS, and is a bedroom musician comfortable on the guitar, piano, and drums.
At home, he is a husband, father to two boys, and a pet to two dogs from neighborhood in Austin, Texas.
